Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics is a medical speciality that focuses on the development of the musculoskeletal system or joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body. The elements that make up this musculoskeletal system form the basis of our body, the muscles and joints that we move, with which we work, in which we can be active, etc.

Doctors who specialize in this area are called orthopaedists or orthopaedic surgeons. They also meet the needs of adults, such as the care of a child with a spine, limbs or deformity, and the care of children.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

  • Conduct interviews of patients.

  • Examine and assess patients' physical condition and problems.

  • Diagnostic tests such as MRIs, X-Rays, etc.

  • Required and suggested surgical treatments and procedures.

  • Give prescriptions and administer medications for pain.

  • Supervise student residents.

Eligibility (12th PCMB+PCB). You need to appear for NEET exam and get a bachelor’s medical degree.
