Warning Signs to Watch For

• Guaranteed selection — No coaching institute or agent can guarantee company sponsorship. Selection is merit-based. Anyone promising guaranteed placement for money is defrauding you.
• Undocumented payments — Any payment above the official application fee (typically ₹500–₹2,500 for major companies) with no receipt is a red flag.
• Pressure to decide fast — "Only 2 seats left, pay today" — legitimate institutes do not pressure students like this.
• Unknown institute names — Cross-check every institute on the DGS approved MTI list at dgshipping.gov.in before paying anything.
• Agent claiming company contacts — No private agent has direct influence on selection at Maersk, Anglo Eastern or any major company. Their tests are merit-based.

Any amount above these — paid to anyone other than the official institute website — is fraud.
